The Vijayawada test site is located in Andhra Pradesh state, south-east part of India, has wide variety of land cover and agriculture crops. It is situated adjacent to Krishna River. This area is irrigated with both river and bore well water. The scene centre is around 16°24'6.23";N latitude and 80°41'2.41"E longitude. The major crops in this area are rice, sugarcane, chilli and cotton. The secondary crops covered in the study area are turmeric, banana, pulses (green gram and black gram) and various vegetables.
